Utah Utes!

Yes, I did graduate from BYU....but we are cheering for a new team now (at least in soccer). This is Erin's (Rochelle's sister) freshman year at the U of U. We are pumped she is a starting player on the soccer team. We traveled over to Pullman, WA (about 5 hours for us) to see her play against WSU last weekend.

This is Erin (totally buff and making up for my total lack of athletic ability in our fam):

We met my parents, Reese & Chris, and the Goodwin fam. We stayed in the same hotel as the team. We had a great time. We spent the morning making serious signage. I don't think we were too obnoxious...but the WSU fans may disagree. And thanks to my mom for loading us up with Utah gear!

The final score was a tie, 3-3 in over time (They play two 10 minute, sudden death, overtime periods...but no one scored so the tie stands). It was fun to watch the intensity of a college soccer team. Erin is one of the many great players on the team...they have awesome potential and are going to be great when they can finally play a home game (on Friday).

Here is her shot on goal that just missed to the left...so close! We can't wait to see her play again. I am hoping to go down to MWC tournament in November. In the mean time....go Utes!

That's so cool that she's so talented! I think it's fun to have something to root for. We're not big fans of anything, I guess unless we have a real reason (we did get into the Yankees when we lived in NY). But we don't keep up with BYU sports or anything, and sometimes I miss it. Good luck to her!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
