So our blog has taken a hiatus for awhile. Here are the main events over the last few weeks:

1. Carson lost his first tooth!
Grandma Judy was visiting and helped him tie a piece of floss to the practically-falling-out tooth. Before they could even get the knot tied, it popped right out. Not much bleeding, no crying, and one super excited kid. He got his name on the 'Tooth' board at school and they sing "You've lost a tooth...". He scored $2 from the tooth fairy.

2. I got released from the Primary Presidency at Church after 3.5 years. It was a bitter-sweet day and involved more tears than I thought...but I am ready for something different. Currently, I am calling-less, and I am soaking it up while I can.

3. I turned 30! Yikes...should I even post that? So strange to be out of my twenties...but I'm not looking back. I feel like I accomplished a lot in my 20s....graduation from college, marriage, 2 kids, buying a house, working full time, then part time at home .... I have a lot to be grateful for! My husband spoiled me for about 5 days prior to my birthday with dinners out, a shopping/pamper day with my sister, gifts, friends, cake, balloons .... I definitely felt treated. Bring on the 30s.

Just in case you are wondering that is the number '26' on the cake + 4 candles = 30 :-) And thanks to my friend Kim for making the yummy cake!

4. We are prepping for a big vacation. The countdown is on! We leave for the Florida sun on March 26th for 8 days! Just the four of us...we are so excited. We hope to dry out from all the rain that comes with living in the Northwest in the spring.

I have been dreaming of this beach.

5. Tax Season. Enough said.

6. Hair cut for Addy! She had a total fit at the salon...didn't know why she was so freaked out. Later I found out she thought they were going to use the clippers (like Carson) ... and I guess she is afraid of them. This isn't her first I don't know where that came from. Anyway, I took her home and did it myself after I calmed her down. I figured I could cut a straight line...well it was harder than it looks! I think it turned out okay...but I may need a professional to 'fix' it a bit when she can calm down enough to sit in the chair at the salon!

7. Easter! It seems so early this year.

8. Puking, Nausea, All-day sickness for me ---- yep, I'm making it official (on my blog anyway). I am 15 weeks pregnant! Can it possibly be that you get sicker with each pregnancy? This is the main reason for being completely out of commission. I have been practically worthless for about 9 weeks now. I have been blessed to have my mom and mother in law come to my rescue over the last month my house, doing laundry, and helping me catch up. The kids have been troopers...and I am just starting to feel kind of normal again. We are pumped about the baby, but I think I get more and more paranoid with each kid, although everything looks great! Carson is sure it is a boy, and Addy is sure it is a girl, so at least I'll have one happy sibling in another 4-5 weeks when we find out which one it is! Here is a picture of our little peanut at our 8 week ultrasound.

Hopefully I'll be better at posting over the next few weeks...

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
