Happy Birthday Trevor!

Trevor's birthday (32nd if you are counting) was this past Sunday. It is kind of hard planning a big birthday - day when he had an Elders Quorum meeting, church, and home teaching...but the kids weren't letting him get away without a party (they were definitely looking forward to it all week! They didn't quite understand I don't do 'goodie bags' and 'party games' for a 32 year old...). We managed to squeeze in a BBQ and 2 of his favorite desserts: Angel Food Cake (with the works: strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream) and Banana Cream pie. We also hit the Indiana Jones movie the night before (a 'no kids date night'...much needed by me too!). Trevor always does such a great job with my birthdays, it is hard to compete, but I think he felt loved and not too worried about being another year older (and hopefully wiser!). His work commitments have been really challenging lately, but I really appreciate how he always manages to fit time in for the fam somehow. He knew his own birthday was a bigger deal for the kids than for him, and he really came through!

And, a bonus perk...he got a new computer for his birthday...or should I say his 'own' computer. It was becoming quite the battle in the evenings over our home desktop, aka MY computer. So, it definitely was a gift for me too :-) I am a tad bit jealous of his far superior laptop, but he deserves it! (But, stealing it every once in awhile is okay, right?)

32! I can't believe you are soooo old. I still have a couple weeks before I will be that old... Hope you had a great birthday!

Trevor, I forgot that we share the same birthday. But you are one year older than me and you look it. Just kidding. You guys all look great.

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
