Carson's Kindergarten Graduation

Carson's last day of school was on June 13th (I know, I am a little behind!). They had the sweetest little Kindergarten program and graduation...that actually made me more teary than having him start Kindergarten in the fall. First grade just seems so much OLDER than Kindergarten.

I couldn't have asked for a better teacher for Carson this past year than Mrs. Budinger. She was absolutely fantastic and really goes to show how your kid's teacher makes all the difference in their schooling experience. Carson has learned to love school, reading, writing, and math (okay, and recess...he has only reminded me 100 times that first graders get TWO recesses!).

Carson loved his classroom! Mrs. Budinger made use of each square inch of the place!

Mrs. Budinger had been collecting most of the kids' artwork and taking pictures throughout the year and made a scrapbook for each amazing! It takes an extra special person to teach Kindergarten...she has mastered it! We are really, really going to miss her next year!

100 days to go!

From the ticker on the left you can see the countdown to baby is under 100 days now. How did this happen?? I finally started to buy some baby items in the last couple weeks. After two kids, there are definitely some things that need to be replaced instead of reused ... namely, the car seat and diaper bag. Plus, I want new bedding for the little guy too but can't decide. So if you like one of the sets below, let me know! I have decided to go with blue and brown...and there seems to be TONS of options. These are all in the same price range...under $150 --I have forced myself to stay away from the 'designer' sets that are running over $300 for 4 pieces! Oh, and I have a white crib...which isn't negotiable :-)

And, a little baby update. We had another ultrasound last Friday. I now only have a 'low lying placenta' ... which is a good thing, but still needs to be rechecked again in the another 6 weeks. That darn placenta needs to move another 1 cm in order to avoid a C-section and further worries....1 cm!! I am hopeful since it has migrated about 4-5cm in the last 6 weeks. The ultrasound pictures were even better this time and the little guy had his hands around his face almost the entire time. The kids were sure he was waving at us!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
