{Miscellaneous Recap}

We just got back from our first camping trip of the summer....complete with perfectly sunny weather! But I have a few note-worthy pictures to get off the memory card before I can dig into the shots from the camping trip.

Trevor's Birthday!   Addy, Ry and I took balloons to work and then went out to lunch.  After school, the kids couldn't wait for him to come home for birthday cake and presents!  I left food on the stove, raced off to mutual and then made it back in time for cake and the bed-time routine.  This seems to be the story of my life these days...fitting in a zillion things...enjoy something for like 5 minutes and then switching gears to something else.  Maybe that is why birthdays seem to come around so often!

Happy Memorial Day!
Yay for the sunshine that peaked through at the end of the day!
And check out that REAL sun flare, baby!

A little helper setting up the new grill for the Memorial Day BBQ! Yum!

Grandma Judy staying for the 3 day weekend!

Cell phone picture of Ry from my new cell phone! I love it...this thing has an 8 megapixel camera! Just might leave the SLR home from time to time now! Plus having email, facebook, and internet at my fingertips....awesome!  You mean I can return emails while waiting for kids at piano or dance? or google summer swimming lessons during baseball practice?  Watch out...more efficiency coming my way!
What Ry was doing while I was setting up my new phone....
Oops...maybe I was wrong about the high-efficiency part.  At least we both were having fun!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
