{Camping ---Alder Lake}

We were sad we couldn't make it to the ward camp-out this year because we already had something on the calendar, so we decided to invite a family from our ward to go camping the weekend before.

We headed down to Alder Lake...about 45 minutes away.  Perfect, remote, and beautiful.  The weather was fabulous!!  I love camping in the sun!  We actually got plenty of use out of the a/c in the trailer....such a welcome change from the last campout in the cold, wet, and dreary weather.

We had so much fun with our friends, the Bennetts!  We love these guys!!

Beautiful swimming area and scenery.

Good food.

Tia was the master fire builder!
Carson avoiding the camera.

And first time using a pocket knife on his own. Thanks Braxton!
And Ry fell in love with the Bennett's dog, Roxy.
This is {love}.

And fun crowns made by the amazingly crafty and creative Tia. Oh if I just had an ounce of her creative brain.

We had a blast and really enjoyed the company! Thanks for coming with us guys!

{Misc Summer...}

We've been gone so much this summer I feel like we are living out of suitcases.  We have just enough days in between summer weekend trips to do laundry and re-pack.  We have been blessed with a busy and fun summer.

However, some of my favorite times of the season have been spent at home.  We take advantage of the lazy days by sleeping in (yes, all 3 of my kids will sleep in!), eating breakfast late, watching movies, playing in the back yard sprinklers, going on walks, riding bikes, enjoying fresh fruit, barbecuing, reading books, and enjoying the general lack of schedule!

We just renewed our Zoo pass.  I have a little guy who loves all things animals, but how about this polar bear swimming straight for you?!

Popsicles are a must.

And snow cones.

We amazingly managed to sneak in 2 rounds of swimming lessons. The kids did great and are extremely improved over last summer!

The kick boards lasted about 2 days, but I don't have a picture of him swimming without it for some reason. But, he can swim the length of the pool now...about 30 feet!

And first time off the diving board...into 15 feet deep water. He thought he was super big-time for that.

And a recent scout activity to the Nature Center.
Carson with his friend, Kilam.

We are savoring these last couple weeks of summer before school starts.  It just goes by too fast!

{Water and more water...}

We had to keep cool in the Utah heat, so we were looking for water activities wherever we were...

Playing in the Veyo pool.

My cousin, Johnnie, and Ry.  All the Snow girls are so sweet and helpful with the babies! Thanks guys!

And conveniently located only a short walk from my parents house is a creek which provided a couple hours of entertainment one afternoon.

And not sure why Carson is missing from these pics...probably because he is usually avoiding the camera. But I did get a shot of him when Grandpa got out his BB gun for Carson to shoot in the back yard.  Fresh off of scout camp, he was in heaven.

And that finally concludes my pictures from the Dalley summer vacay.  So fun and can't wait for next year!

{Let The Races Begin}

One of the highlights of our trip is the annual 24th of July celebration at the church in Pinevalley.
My Grandpa Snow plays in the band as part of the program and festivities. How cute is that?
All the kids can't get enough of Aunt Erin.
A little photog in training :-)
And the main reason the kids love it:  Games and Races

Foot races always up first...

All three babies lined up with the 'One Year Olds'.

Ry couldn't wait.  Graham looks like he is going to cut Brynnie off...
But Graham is down and Ry and Brynn are off!
And here comes Graham!

Cracker Jacks all around for everyone.
Trying to get a good shot of these three is impossible.

And most of the cousins and extended family too...

A few more games...

The proud mommies.  My sisters, brother, cousins, and I ran these same races as kids. So fun to be the mom and watch your own kids experience and love it too!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
