{End of June Chaos}

August already...and I still haven't posted all the end of school year activities.  With 3 kids in school we pretty much go into survival mode those last few weeks of school.  There were projects, presentations, and programs galore.  And not to mention graduation parties for our favorite high school seniors, going away parties for two close families, and scout camp and vacation prep.  Man, it makes me tired even now.  September is the same we are savoring the last month of summer!!

Even though it was crazy we had some great things going on....

Piano Recital
Carson's 3rd year and Addison's 1st year.  Both making awesome progress thanks to a great teacher!

Carson 5th Grade Track Team
Our elementary school has a 5th/6th grade track team.   Carson was super anxious to be on the team and was selected/qualified to compete at both the regional and district meet.  He got first place in his 100 meter heat at the regional meet.  Awesome prep for our summer track season!

 Rylan: End of Year Preschool Program
No secret that I love preschool programs and Rylan's preschool teacher!  Songs and music galore.  Adorable in every way and he loved each moment. I am SO glad he has one more year of preschool before I have to send him off to the big-kid school.  Sniff.

 We love Ms. Cindy!

 Carson: 5th grade award assembly

Carson received a 5th grade award for his participation in student council all year, qualifying and competing in the district Math Relay (competition), and for participating in track & field.

 Addison: 2nd grade program

 Addison's grade had a huge musical presentation based on the African culture (??!).  It was, uh interesting.  I would have rather them spent time on American heritage, but I digress.

Carson: Field trip to Olympia
I got to chaperon Carson's class on their field trip to the state capitol. So glad he still likes me to go with him (even if I did forego the bus ride with the kids to travel by car with the moms). It was actually really interesting!

School teachers!
We were so blessed with amazing teachers again this year!  You can't officially 'request' teachers, but I send out emails and do the best I can to advocate for my kids so they are placed with teachers that rock.

Carson had Ms. Widmann.  Fantastic.  Her son is in his Boy Scout troop so we get to see her during the summer too!

And Addison had Ms. Gendreau. For the 2nd year in a row. (She moved up with the class). She is the queen of organization and I LOVE that!  It will be so hard not to get her fun weekly newsletters each week!

 We put together these cute chalkboards and freezer jam treats (fresh from our very own strawberry patch!) as thank you gifts for the teachers this year.

Last Day of School!
And the moment they've been waiting for!

Can't believe how much they have changed in 9 months!

Traditional last day of school Slurpee run!!

And a random iPhone pic from June.

 Crazy, but never dull. That's for sure!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
