We try and squeeze as much out of summer as possible in August while we are home and the Seattle weather is at it's finest!
We held a huge slip & slide primary activity in mid-August. I did this with the Activity Day girls last year so we tried it for our whole primary this year and it was a huge hit!
Spent more days at wild waves.
Hosted our annual company picnic.
Friends over for smores, just because.
Met up with friends a couple times at Lake Meridian.
Free blueberry picking at a Tacoma park.
Activity Days trip up to the McCombs lake house...girls had a blast!
And I tried out paddle boarding...harder than it looks!
We let the kids swim at Lake Wilderness one evening after family photos.
We harvested many apples from our Asian pear tree.
One Saturday we loaded up the bikes and made a 7 mile trek on the Orting trail.
Miles was a champ on his balance bike for about 5 miles.
We picked blackberries along the way (they grow wild here...everywhere).
And this was Trevor on the 2 miles remaining when Miles was worn out...what a dad!
We love summer and always mourn the end of our carefree schedule! It was a great one!!
