{Easter 2014}

Easter 2014!  Always a mom's great relief when the Easter outfits are picked out, ironed, and some-what coordinating!   We got this group shot in record timing (I've taught my kids well....smile and get it over with or I will torture you for hours trying to get a good picture!)

Easter came and went in a blur.  It was so late this year that I felt like I had so much time, but in the end we were racing to get our traditions in.  Can't pass up a chance to dye eggs.  We did 3 dozen this year and could've done more!  (We ate about half of them).

Our HOA put on an awesome Easter egg hunt on Saturday.

And Rylan even got a ticket in one of his eggs for a 'surprise basket'....he was pretty darn stoked!

 Full size hershey bars?? My kids will be back next year (and I think Carson gets bumped out of the 'kid' category.  He was pushing it this year!).

The Easter bunny made extra complicated paths to their Easter baskets this year (a string from their bed to their basket.

 Pretty happy kiddos with new books, toothbrushes, candy, and Easter clothes.

And my sweet kiddos. I love how the spring flowers are are in bloom for Easter photos.  These are all taken in my back yard.  It's definitely at it's prettiest in April and May!  It's all downhill (and work!) from there.

A little harder to pull off Easter dinner when church isn't out until 4:30, but we managed to pull it off with everyone pitching in.  Honey Baked Ham...yum!!  And a real, from scratch, coconut cake (not white cake with coconut on it...I mean it has coconut milk in it!  ...sooooo good!).  My sister and family came over for dessert (no pics??!).  Fun to have family so close to share holidays with!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
