{Last Day of School!}

 We made it!  Last day of school!  And Hawaiian day!  I was pretty sentimental that morning because these two won't ever be in the same school again.  They have been walking to school together for 4 years.  Carson will move to high school when Addy enters Junior High.  Sad day, I tell you!  I have been very grateful they have each other at school.  They have many of the same friends in the neighborhood and school and {mostly} get along pretty well.

I had a poster on the door when they got home.  Yay! School's out for summer!
 We hurried and did a quick change of clothes and headed to Wild Waves. We got season passes for the kids for Christmas and couldn't wait to finally use them. We met up with a couple families that also had season passes. Perfect, hot day too!  (That usually never happens...usually we are wearing jackets on the last day of school here!)
 My kids are dare devils on all the rides and had a blast with their friends.

I even sneaked in a quick roller coaster ride with Carissa!

Once it was really warm we headed to the water.  Plenty to do (and very crowded!)

The schedule just opened up for summer fun!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
