{Thanksgiving 2014}

My awesome SIL, brother, and 3 boys joined us for Thanksgiving this year!  My SIL, Becca, came up early with the kids and my brother joined up with us just in time for us to sit down for the big feast!

We baked and slaved for 2 days prior prepping the glorious feast! It's always so nice to have major help in the kitchen.  And it doesn't seem like a chore at all when you gab the day away together!

The kiddos helped too...with pies and side dishes and setting the table.  We always love having a house full of cousins and had the best time with this crew!!

Sadly, I hardly took any pictures the entire weekend! In fact November, in general, was just not on my radar apparently for photos!

My sister and fam (Camille) came over for pie that night and added more cousins to the adorable crew.

And the three of us ladies (plus baby Gwen) hit Black Friday shopping around 7-ishAM for a few hours and scored some major deals and crossed a ton off the looming Christmas lists!  We were in Camille's car and literally had to go home because we couldn't fit one more item in the car. We had boxes and bags piled all around us!

And Thanksgiving weekend would not be complete without the traditional Christmas tree hunt...   Coming up next!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
