{June recap}

While we adjusted to life with a newborn we kept June pretty low-key. A few outings but mostly a lot of snuggles with a sweet baby girl.

I love this picture of my two babies!  Miles looks like a giant.

We had our first round of homemade ice cream ... first of many to come!

Rylan lost another tooth!

We took a day trip to Lake Meridian.  We pulled the kids out of school early, because we just couldn't pass up the crazy warm weather.

Addy and Rylan participated in the Color Run at the elementary school.

That little lip!

We celebrated Trevor on Father's Day.  Here he is with his brood!

 We had Josh and Kaylee over for Father's Day too since they were solo that weekend.  BBQ ribs and chicken and rootbeer in frosty mugs...yum!

Carson fell off the plasma car (less than 12 inches to the ground) and hurt his elbow.  After the first x-ray they said it was not broken.

But 3 weeks later on the follow up x-ray... yup, broken.  But too late for treatment because it had partially healed, so they just continued to let it heal on it's own. It will take a long time to restore full motion and strength. I swear this kid is fragile!

We stocked up on library books and signed up for the summer reading program.

Spent a day at Lake Wilderness. The big kids rented a row boat and had a blast.

Aunt Erin came for a quick visit and we soaked her up!

And took her to Lake Wilderness to meet up with the cousins.  We had fun playing with her GoPro.

Miss Ivy looking so adorable at church.

Round of swimming lessons!

Love carrying this baby around in the baby wrap.

Rainier's Game one evening with friends.

Loved this project from Kindergarten.  Most kids said "fireman" or "football player".
Rylan just melts me sometimes.

And another daily picture of this sweetheart.

{Last Day of School!}

The last day of school always seems soooo very long in coming. We were seriously coasting on fumes those last few weeks.  The schedule was so jam-packed, we were longing for the lazy days of summer!

Miles finished preschool a week ahead of the other kids.
The end of year performance is always a big hit and one of my favorite parts about our preschool.

Throughout the day Miles started rubbing his eyes...and they seemed to be getting puffy and red by the minute.  I was praying he would be able to make it through the performance (and worried it was pink eye!).  Even though he was a little tired, the eyes turned out to just be allergies and nothing more. Phew!
 Miles carpool buddy, Ryder.

Finished preschool year 1!
 How fun to have Grandma with us too!

 Rylan had the most fantastic Kindergarten teacher. I might give my right arm if Miles could have her too!  She is so wonderful, soft-spoken, and kind...but has super high expectations for the kids in her class.  We adore Ms. Benjamin!!

 Rylan had a darling Kindergarten performance too.

Addison was recognized for earning the "Achiever" status in her school.  It was an outside of class program that she worked really hard on (service hours, physical fitness requirements, extra curricular requirements, and grades).

We also loved Addison's teacher, Mrs. Cotton too!

The last day finally came!  Usually we are wearing coats...but it was a gorgeous summer day. How fitting!

 Slurpees for all (including one good friend)!
Let summer begin!!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
