December Crazy Fun

What better way to get in the Christmas spirit than taking pics of a sweet girl with Christmas light bokeh!  December is always filled to the brim with activities, concerts, and outings.  We love all the crazy that comes with it!
The Nutcracker:  I organized a huge group to go to the student matinee of the top Nutcracker show in Seattle---the Pacific Northwest Ballet.  It was the full 2 hour performance with orchestra---we loved it!  (Despite the horrendous traffic to get back to Puyallup!)

Snowflake Lane:  We love this tradition up in Bellevue. We joined our friends, the Carvers, again for a super fun (cold!) night!

Work Gala: Trevor and I attend a gala for an attorney's office he works with.  I stressed over finding something fancy enough to wear and found something at the last minute.  So fun to get all dolled up!

Ice Skating:  Addison went ice skating with the Activity Day girls.

Journey To Bethlehem: Another favorite tradition to see this live, walking tour, nativity in Auburn.

 Retirement Center: We took gifts and treats to our local retirement center one night.
 Festival of the Nativity:  Awesome nativity and art display at the Stake Center near the Seattle temple.  Our first time and it was so great.

School: My life when I bring Ivy on my helper-day at school!  They love the baby!!

Friend Gift Exchange:  Addy hosted a gift exchange with her friends.

Preschool Program:  Always a favorite!  I'm so sad this is his last year of preschool!  Miles is a great little performer!

 Cousin, Claire...always by his side at school!

 Orchestra Concert:  Carson's Winter concert was really good!

Primary Cookie Party:  2nd Annual party for my primary kiddos. They come to my house, decorate cookies and drink hot cocoa!  I love it!

Anticipation:  My mom got miles this big present wrapped int this blue sack (amazon!)....he doted on this present for weeks!  Size matters and the sparkle in his eye as he waiting patiently for Christmas Day to arrive was so magical.

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
