Christmas Eve 2015

My parents rotate around our homes for Christmas, and sometimes they stay home and host visitors...so it had been 7 years since they were with us in our home for Christmas and we couldn't wait for them to get here!

First up---gingerbread houses with Grandma!

Cutest Santa Baby!

And lots of baby snuggles with Grandpa!

Gma treated us to the best 'surf and turf' meal with snow crab legs and steak! Yum!!

And Aunt Erin joined the crazy a few days later!  3 extra adults in the house to help at Christmas ---- winning!

On December 23rd we met my brother in Centralia so we could all spend some time together. This ended up being a MAJOR debacle.  Traffic was horrendous for a number of reason including pouring rain. I think it took Charise 4 hours to get from North Bend to Centralia (double the time). We had to adjust plans and everyone was a little tense --- but once we got lunch at Burgerville and headed to the skating ring where we were the only ones there....we had a great time!

A few Goodwins in the mix too! Love this crew!

On Christmas Eve morning we had our traditional breakfast at Pancake House. My sister, Camille was spending the day with her in-laws, but they snuck away for breakfast with us before joining up with them.

Then we met my sister, Charise down at our church building for some indoor fun out of the cold weather.

Meg and Ivy with Grandma.  Love!

Then we headed back to our house for the evening. Not pictured is our friends, the Barkers; Steve and Karen (our Stake President and his wife) joined us for the evening. We were so happy to have them with us---even if they did have to endure the Dalley crazy!

We painted ornaments.

Skipped the cooking and ordered take out Dickies for dinner. Yum!

Had a marshmallow fight.

Played our new favorite game, Pie Face.

Rylan and Brynn were in charge of the Nativity this year and they did a great job!

Christmas PJs!

'Twas the Night before Christmas read by Grandpa.  Just look at those excited grand-kids!

A family pic and then the my sister was off to tuck her kids into bed and we did the same in preparation for the big day!!!

Why I {Blog}

My little blog is a family journal. I include things on here I want to remember years and years from now. So when I post a zillion pictures...it is because I want to have it for my posterity. So please forgive the often posted-picture overload.

Currently I am trying to focus on my photography skills...reading, reading, reading, and taking pictures when I can. Then edit, read, read, read some more. I finally feel like I have a basic understanding of exposure...hooray! I updated my blog template so I can display larger photos because...aren't pictures better than anything I have to say anyway?

More about me here.
